painting the future

I have been mostly in the studio everyday concentrating for my
upcoming exhibition.
Painting & painting & painting thin washes of low fire 'uwae' on my high fired ware and putting more wood on the fire while the tunes are streaming.

Sometimes in the late evenings I turn off the stereo & listen to the owls echoing over the river between the mountains.

Lots of time
to reflect upon the life of many adventures,
all the beauty's
along with
the injustice's...

I am very fortunate to be painting my own future positive.

Here comes the GOLD.

friendly biz

縄、(NAWA-means rope) was my friends fine restaurant/bar in Ebisu, Tokyo. They had a courtyard with a nice big tepee that had electric carpet in the Winter and the place cooked from an old style 'kamado' oven. It was always a nice inner-Tokyo break to sit around the fire drinking with friends.
After 10 years they moved to Shiga Prefecture and will now open their new restaurant. Very happy they asked me to make for them again and can't wait to visit!
